My peonies are starting to bloom, yay! I have just the one right now, but I see more buds. My poppies are filling in quite nicely too. I see a few where there were none last year, so that is good. I’ll take lots of poppies, they last from spring through fall.

I don't have any open peonies yet, but lots of buds! Good thing, though or they would have been pelted by last night's rain! I love the shot of your poppies with the little blue circles of light behind - what is that? How did you do it?
I took the picture towards the sun which was filtered behind a large tree. That is what caused the circles of light (gaps between leaves)
I like the look, one of my old daffodil pictures with light rings has a similar effect but more intense. I never aim for that, they just work out that way :)

I love poppies too...but don't have any...and I don't even know why.
