Mother’s Day Weekend

Todd’s Mom, Cindy, took the train up from Olympia to stay for a couple nights this past weekend. She arrived Friday evening and left Sunday morning. It was a short visit but special.

On Saturday we drove to Bellingham Bay during low tide. We usually park on Locust street then walk down to the beach from there. We had fun walking on the mud flats, collecting sea glass and playing on a drift wood swing. Afterwards we stopped by Todd’s office to give Cindy a tour. I think she enjoyed the scooters best :)

After we dropped Cindy off at the train station we walked along Boulevard Park and had coffee & hot chocolate at Woods. I am trying to get more people shots since I only take pictures of flowers and still objects. Todd was my guinea pig for most of them, he was a good sport.

Beautiful photos, Melissa! I learn so much from looking at your photography. I just wish I remembered it all. :) Maybe this summer we can go down to those mud flats together - that would be fun. That driftwood swing looks awesome!

I'm amazed that you were able to take that picture of Todd and the walkway/bridge at Boulevard without anyone else in the picture. At least it looks that way. Very cool!
