I just returned home after spending the last four days relaxing on the rocky shores of Sinclair Island. My neighbor Marla invited me to join her, her two kids, her sister, and her in-laws for a fun get away. Sinclair is one of the San Juan Islands located between Lummi & Orcas. We stayed in a rustic red cabin with no electricity or running water.
We left Bellingham Bay late Wednesday afternoon for the cruise to the island. Breanna & Dylan were so excited to get on Grandpa Jim & Grandma Mickey’s boat. Once on the boat we passed the time by chatting and watching the scenery go by. We even spotted a beautiful speckled seal lounging on a rock. An hour or so later we arrived at the quaint little boarding dock and post office. From there Jim hauled our things on a tractor trailer while we followed behind for the short hike to the cabin.
Since I like to drag things out, stay tuned for more posts :)
