I realized I never did a 9 week post, I ran out of time and energy. Ada’s sleeping habits have not been consistent making momma a little more tired these days. I do have to say that she is still amazing especially when she looks at me and gurgle talks, it is the cutest thing!
Ada turned a big two months on Sunday. She also discovered how to suck her thumb during church. I’m not quite sure how I feel about the thumb, I hear a pacifier is easier to break.
I’m pretty sure it was in honor of her two month birthday that Ada let me sleep 7 hours Saturday night! She has yet to do so since, but it felt great. It has been about a year since I have slept a solid night :)
I caught these two napping the other night and couldn’t resist a picture! I was surprised Ada fell asleep on his arm like that. It looked uncomfortable but sure made for a cute picture.
Ada is growing fast and learning new things, like sucking her hands. She is also vocalizing more and more each day. She often coos and talks when in her crib or in the car seat before falling asleep.
This morning Ada & I met Todd for some yummy donuts at Rocket Donuts in Bellingham. The shop is decorated with a fun retro sci-fi theme, hence the robot picture. It was fun to get out and celebrate with Todd, even for just a few minutes with a hungry, fussy baby :)
On Sunday we went for our first real walk (lasting more than 10 minutes) in the beautiful sunshine. I am now physically able to walk at a decent pace without pain. Oh, and we love our Bob stroller! It has an amazingly smooth ride thanks to its shocks and it is easy to steer, even one-handed.
Ada makes some pretty cute faces these days. My favorite is the last picture. You can see (and almost hear) the effort it took in lifting her head.
It is so nice to see some color in the yard! I am looking forward to the coming months with warmer weather, sunshine and a garden full of blooms. Hopefully I will find time to tend the garden this year :)
Much more fun! The first bath experience was rough so we decided to change a few things which made bath time much more pleasant. First of all, the smartest thing we did was make sure she had a full tummy. Second, we opened up the heat vent which made the bathroom nice and warm. Third, we used an actual tub from Todd’s sister instead of the sink. It’s a learning process and Ada is teaching us well! :)
She did really good. She sat there calmly while we bathed and poured water over her…I think she may have actually enjoyed it!
