Oregon Coast

The drive up the 101 was gorgeous. So many beautiful beaches, light houses, and scenic overlooks! We stopped at one of the dunes and hiked down about a mile to the ocean. Ada played with the sand crabs while Ruby enjoyed stretching her legs. We ended the full day with a tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory. We had dinner, samples, and then ice cream :)

Family Night

Monday night was our last night with family before our trip home. After the dinosaurs we all drove out to meet Matt & Cherise at a Thai restaurant near their house. It was nice to spend more time with them.

I loved the colors inside the restaurant, that is why I posted several.

Lucy & Sushi

I always have to give Lucy some love, after all she is “big sister” now. The day before Christmas Eve we drove about two hours to an all you can eat sushi bar and then afterwards to walk through IKEA. It was a fun evening!

Dad’s 60th

My Dad officially turned 60 on Tuesday and we got to celebrate with him. It has been many years since we have celebrated a birthday for him, this year was extra special.

We spent the late morning in Fairhaven, eating at our favorite sandwich shop Avenue Bread for lunch. The walk along the water afterwards was cut short due to a heavy rain shower. That evening we treated our parents to Herb Niemann’s, formerly the Black Forest in Everson. They are well known for their great steaks. My Dad even ate a steak being a vegan or as he calls himself, a vegavegecarnitarian :)
